After a successful first year, the ambitious Dive Project Cornwall – which aims to introduce youngsters from all across the country to the wonders of our underwater realm – is returning in 2024.

Founder Andy Forster said: “In 2023, we learned and achieved so much about the delivery and impact of the project; the overall support of Dive Project Cornwall in 2023 made a huge difference.

“Our first year was a huge success, making a significant and positive impact to the mental health and well-being of over 350 children who visited us at our basecamp at Porthkerris in Cornwall.”

New video released to promote the return of Dive Project Cornwall in 2024

He continued: “There can be no doubt that Dive Project Cornwall changed the lives of each and every student that attended in 2023; we trained them to scuba dive, educated them about the importance of the ocean with Marine Conservation Society-led activities and taught them valuable life-skills for use in their everyday lives, all of which contributed to make a positive impact to their mental health and well-being.”

To celebrate the return of the project in 2024, the team have unveiled a new website.

Forster added: “On the new website you’ll find many testimonials and pictures taken from the actual weeks of 2023 – as mentioned, the impact was greater than we had anticipated and the feedback so positive that the majority of attending schools are planning to return with new sets of students to further extend this unique opportunity of a lifetime to more young people.”
