Mermaid Competition at the Sabah International Convention Centre, Sabah, Malaysia 18 – 20 August 2023

The ADEX SABAH Mermaid Competition 2023 is set to take place at the Sabah International Convention Centre from 18th to 20th August 2023 as part of the inaugural ADEX Sabah Ocean Partnership Summit.  Mermaids from all over the world will come together to showcase their skills and grace in this inclusive competition.

The event aims to not only provide participants with an opportunity to demonstrate their abilities in the water but also to foster a sense of community and inspire one another towards ocean conservation and a sustainable future.

As part of the ADEX SABAH Ocean Partnership Summit, the competition is a platform for knowledge-sharing, environmental awareness, and building partnerships. Esteemed judges from renowned freediving organizations will preside over the competition. The competition includes two categories, namely Youth (10-15 years old) and Open (open to all merpeople).

The judging criteria involve multiple rounds, including a performance round, semi-finals, and finals. The winners will have the chance to represent the mermaid community, make guest appearances, and perform at future ADEX shows worldwide. For registration details and more information, visit
