The Manta Trust has put out a global call for young people aged 13-18 who would be interested in becoming one of their Ocean Ambassadors.

It is envisaged that the youth Ocean Ambassadors would be a driving force for making a positive change in worldwide conservation, marine science and exploration.

Ocean Ambassadors will have the unique opportunity to connect with marine scientists, engage in eye-opening discussions, and even conduct interviews with experts in marine conservation.

The Manta Trust sees these youth Ocean Ambassadors working with them to develop and implement local projects to increase conservation and improve ocean science in their area, and also for them to use their links in schools to get their local communities on board fully with these activities.

Applications are now open, and interested teenagers between 13-18 are invited to submit an online application – the deadline is 10 December 2023.
