Somerset was invaded yesterday (12 December) by hordes of Scuba Santas – with the odd reindeer and elf thrown in for good measure – for the annual Vobster Santas fundraising event.

The event, which was postponed last year due to COVID restrictions, raises money for the Royal National Lifeboat Institution and the Dorset & Somerset Air Ambulance.

On Sunday, between 8am and 2pm, more than 130 Scuba Santas descended on Vobster Quay and made merry in the car park and in the inviting waters, which were decidedly chilly but boasted exceptionally clear visibility.
