A third sand tiger shark has been found in the waters near the UK, this time off Dorset.
The discovery of the two-and-a-half metre dead shark, which was discovered floating in the water offshore of Lyme Regis by fisherman Barry Trevett last week, comes just several weeks after the same species were washed up in County Wexford, Ireland and Lepe Beach, Hampshire.
Trevett reported his find to the Zoological Society of London, and kept the fish on ice in his refrigerated van for two days until they were able to collect it for research purposes.
Lyme Regis is Dorset, NOT Devon.
