Rare nudibranch makes a second appearance

A rare nudibranch seen for the first time in UK waters earlier this summer has now been spotted again, this time off the Cornish coastline.

Seasearch diver Allen Murray recorded the first UK sighting of Babakina anadoni off the Isles of Scilly in early August, and now snorkeller Kymm Sandum has photographed and videoed the colourful critter off western Cornwall.

According to Cornwall Wildlife Trust, prior to these sightings, Bakakina anadoni had only been recorded along Spain's east coast, and further south in the Atlantic.
