To celebrate the launch of the RAID Diver First Aid course, RAID UK and Malta held an inaugural First Aid Instructor Workshop at Glaciere Diving, Liverpool, with Rob Mackins, the primary author of the programme.

This one-day session covered an introduction to the content of the course, including CPR, catastrophic bleeding, freediving first aid and AED use. Enthusiastic participants took part in a bespoke practical session to develop teaching methods for CPR, AED use and bandaging. After the workshop, candidates felt their questions were answered and ready to teach the new course. Rob discussed the aspects that make the RAID Diver First Aid course unique to the industry, and introduced the RAID Accredited Workplace First Aid Programmes.
