Divers and non-divers alike can now enjoy tailor-made holidays to Malta and Gozo with Diverse Travel, one of the closer dive destinations on offer.

Malta promises some of the best diving in the Mediterranean with warm, clear waters and fantastic dive sites with Gozo and the uninhabited island of Comino also giving a variety of activities for divers and non-divers making it a perfect choice of destination to put a smile on everyone’s face.

Prepare for caves, overhangs and swim-throughs, no tides and few currents and its’s easy to see that Malta offers diving for all abilities from beginners to technical divers. Also a collection of ship, plane and submarine wrecks, both historical and artificial.

Above water there is plenty to explore in the World Heritage City of Valletta, Malta’s capital. Another must is a visit to the ‘Silent City’ of Mdina. Lamp lit by night, it’s fascinating for its timeless atmosphere, cultural and religious treasures. There are lots of beaches, pretty coves, walking and cycling routes and Comino and Gozo are easily reached by a short ferry trip.

Gozo is one of the few remaining unspoilt Mediterranean islands and a haven for divers, its spectacular underwater scenery and simple, rural charm draws divers back time after time.

There are around 50 dive sites, accessed from both the shore and by boat across Gozo and Comino.

The hilltop citadel of Victoria, known as Rabat, is the heart of Gozo with a bustling market square whilst Xlendi is typical of the islands’ fishing villages.

Close by, the tiny island of Comino lying between Gozo and Malta, is car free, offers a peaceful visit with some of the archipelago’s prettiest coves and quiet beaches.

To say there is something for everyone here is something of an understatement and with ‘short’ slights, it’s easy to get there. Competitively-priced flights are frequent and regular, leaving from many regional UK airports on a choice of airlines.

Package price from £559 including:
– Return flights London – Malta
– 7 nights’ self-catering in 1-bedroom studio apartment based on twin share
– 6 shore dives with tanks and weights
– Return airport transfers
