For those that maybe didn’t know, Gemma Smith – one of the UK’s top technical divers, who has pushed the boundaries of science and exploration in conjunction with scientific divers from all over the world (she was recently part of the team excavating the Antikythera wreck in Greece) – was involved in a horrific accident last month.

She was hit by a car and left fighting for her life. The impact broke both her legs, fractured her pelvis and two vertebrae, while a fractured skull led to a major concussion. The road to recovery is a long one – and Fourth Element want to help her on this journey. And you can help!

The Fourth Element Fortitudine Vincimus T-shirt is now available for pre-order until 12 May at a price of £19.95. All profits (a minimum of £10 per shirt) from the sale of this T-shirt will help fund Gemma’s recovery, whether that is for therapy or equipment for rehabilitation.

Fortitudine Vincimus means ‘through endurance we conquer’ and was posted several times on her Facebook page when news of the accident broke.

The T-shirt has a round neck and is made of 100 percent organic ringspun combed cotton, with a hand-printed screen print on the chest.

Everyone loves Fourth Element gear, and now you can look cool while helping one seriously cool young woman get her life back on track.
