Journey into the past as the Egyptian Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities celebrates World Heritage Day by releasing an in-depth video tour of the Wahati tomb in the Saqqara Archaeology Zone.

This tomb is one of the most-important discoveries made by the Ministry in recent years, not only because of the colours and treasures it carries, but also because it was for the high priest of purification from the Fifth Dynasty, which reminds us all of the ancient Egyptian interest in preventing diseases and using all available disinfection and sterilisation tools, such as water, oils and perfumes – quite timely given the current situation with the COVID-19 pandemic.

Professor Dr Khaled Al-Anani, Minister of Tourism and Antiquities, leads the tour inside the magnificent Wahati tomb, which was discovered in 2018.
