The UK diving fraternity is today mourning the loss of legendary Cornish skipper Mark Milburn, who tragically died yesterday (6 April) from a bleed on the brain.

Through Atlantic Scuba and Stingray Charters, Mark had introduced thousands of divers to the wonders lying in the waters off the Cornish coastline, and his enthusiasm for his local diving never waned – he was in full-flow all weekend at the recent GO Diving Show extoling the virtues of southwest diving.

He was also a familiar sight on our TV screens, often being called upon by producers and directors to offer his expert insight and opinion on all things diving.

He will be sadly missed by both recreational and technical divers, and by the UK diving industry. Our condolences to his family and friends.
