The Divers Alert Network (DAN) has kick-started its year-end giving campaign to help build safer diving communities, and is calling for donations to the DAN Foundation.
DAN provides lifesaving assistance and crucial information to divers, medical facilities and dive professionals around the world through education, grants, programs and resources.
Donations will support the DAN Emergency Hotline, the only service that provides expert 24/7 emergency medical assistance to divers, as well as the DAN Oxygen and AED Grant programs, which provide emergency equipment to dive professionals in need.
The foundation also supports DAN’s Recompression Chamber Assistance Program (RCAP), through which the organisation works to ensure quality and safe hyperbaric care is available to injured divers wherever they may be. DAN’s research has revolutionised the way the world dives, establishing industry standards and procedures that keep so many divers returning from their dives injury-and accident-free. It also receives its funding from the DAN Foundation.
Thousands of divers have relied on DAN’s services, grants, programs and research for their well-being. Giving is more than a donation, it’s an investment in the future of diving. And it’s an investment that saves lives. For more information, or to give today, visit DAN.org/give.
