Respected technical diver Dave Gration is the latest instructor trainer to join the ranks of training agency Dive RAID International.

Few serious technical divers and even fewer rebreather divers are unfamiliar with Dave Gration. Dave has a great reputation as an explorer and accomplished instructor-trainer. Dave has been delivering quality service for a number of agencies, on open circuit, and every leading CCR in overhead as well as open-water environments.

Dave, who runs Rebreather Pro Training, said he was proud to have been asked to become part of the Training Advisory Group (TAG) at RAID.

“RAID is the perfect agency, able to adapt quickly to the new techniques and equipment we are seeing coming into diving,” he said.

“As their materials and courses are online, it’s very quick and easy to make changes that keep up with things as they progress.”

He continued: “I also feel that it’s important for the owners and board members of any diver training agency to be out there actually teaching and diving. This for sure is the case with RAID and I’m lucky to have dived on many deep scientific dives and expeditions with them, and to be able to call them friends.

“It’s my opinion, that with RAID you’re not just a number, you become part of their team. Every instructor is an ambassador for the agency, and you feel part of something bringing positive change to the diving industry.

“I’m looking forward to many years of being a part of this amazing team.”

Dave will continue to focus his teaching activities primarily on the UK and Malta, and will be working under the Dive RAID UK banner with James Rogers and Toby van Poos.

“Few have Dave’s experience and reputation for excellence and attention to detail,” said PJ Prinsloo, RAID’s VP Training. “Having him teach for us at all levels is great news, but the real bonus is having him as a member of TAG, which is going to help us develop new programmes and help to manage quality assurance across the whole of RAID’s training network.”
