Hans Hass was an iconic Austrian marine biologist, film-maker and diving pioneer, and now, in a tribute to his legacy, Spinnaker watches has released the limited-edition Spinnaker Hass X MCS.
The Spinnaker Hass X MCS (SRP: £375) is made from recycled 316 L marine-grade stainless steel, and comes in two colour schemes, which are inspired by the natural palettes across the depths of the ocean.
The watch is water-resistant to 300m, and features a scratch-resistant sapphire lens, while the hands are coated in generous layers of Swiss Super-LumiNova for better visibility in lower light conditions. It has a battery-free Japanese automatic TMI NH16 movement.

The Hass X MCS comes with a choice of stainless steel bracelet or a rPet NATO-style strap that is fabricated from recycled discarded plastic.
There will only be 500 of each colourway of these watches released, and a minimum of 5% of sales will go to funding of work undertaken by the Marine Conservation Society for a cleaner, better protected and healthier ocean.
