Fed up of all the doom and gloom surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic?

Here is a heartwarming story about a stricken manta ray that was helped by some of the dive team from Blue Corner Dive on Nusa Penida in Bali.

The divers encountered the manta ray and saw that she was entangled in discarded fishing line. As they worked to cut it away, the graceful animal slowed down and seemingly allowed them to work on the monofilament line. It transpired that it was several lengths wrapped around it, and some was cutting deep into its flesh.

With patience, the team managed to use snips and a knife to remove much of the line, and hopefully the cuts and scars left by the monofilament will heal over time.
