Cozumel is considered to be one of the best diving spots in the world. Located in the Caribbean Sea, just 12 miles from Yucatan Peninsula, Cozumel is a teardrop-shaped coral island. Marvellous marine life, stunning coral reefs, warm water, pristine beaches and excellent underwater visibility are the features that make this place so special. The reef system around the island is a part of the Mesoamerican reef system and is protected by the Cozumel Reefs National Marine Park.

In Yucatan Peninsula you will find spectacular freshwater cave systems called Cenotes. These amazing sinkholes surrounded by tropical jungle attract thousands of divers all year round to Riviera Maya. There are so many different kinds of cenotes – some of them are open, the other ones are caves or caverns with stalagmite and stalactite formations. They are not only perfectly tailored for experienced scuba divers but also for novice divers and snorkelers.

This area is a home to more than 65 species of stony coral, 350 species of mollusk and more than 500 species of fish. This is definitely summer highlight and amazing experience of swimming with the largest fish in the ocean.
